Required Operations
In this bulletin is a flow chart showing the general description of the REQUIRED OPERATIONS.These "REQUIRED OPERATIONS" are as follows:
1. Clean the carburetor.
2. Remove the carburetor.
3. Check the installation of the Choke Shim. If the Choke Shim is missing or improperly installed, install a new Choke Shim (contained in the EMR-92-011 emission parts kit).
4. Remove and clean the Sub-EGR Valve.
5. Remove the Enrichment Solenoid Valve from the carburetor. Check the size stamp on the jet. If the Jet reads "100" replace the jet with the jet contained in the EMR-90-010 emission parts kit, then, reinstall the solenoid valve. If the jet reads "95", reinstall the solenoid valve.
6. Replace the Jet Mixture Solenoid Valve.
7. Remove and clean the EGR Valve.
8. Reinstall the carburetor.
9. Check the Vacuum Control Valve and Vacuum Hose Assembly installation. If missing or improperly installed, install them.
10. Replace the Oxygen Sensor.
11. Check the part number on the existing Service Label. If the number does not read "MD169889" (manual transaxles) or "MD169890" (automatic transaxles) affix the correct Service Label which is contained in the EMR-90-010 emission parts kit.
12. Complete and sign the EMR-92-011 Emission Recall Checklist (contained in the EMR-92-011 emission parts kit).
