Vacuum Hose Connection Verification

1. With the air cleaner off, place a shop towel over the carburetor.

Locate the Vacuum Switch on the bulkhead in the engine compartment. Verify that a green striped vacuum hose is connected between the Vacuum Switch and the carburetor (Figure 1).

2. Verify that a green striped vacuum hose is connected to Air Control Valve and to the inboard vacuum nipple of the upper solenoid valve.

Verify that a white striped vacuum hose is connected to the outboard vacuum nipple of the upper solenoid valve (Figure 2).

NOTE: If the hoses are incorrectly connected, reconnect as necessary.
