Ignition Control Module: Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect electrical connector from power transistor.
2. Connect jumper wires from positive terminal of suitable 1.5 volt power source to transistor terminal 1 and negative terminal of power source to transistor terminal 2.
3. Connect positive lead of ohmmeter to transistor terminal 2 and negative lead to transistor terminal 3.
4. With power source connected, ohmmeter should indicate continuity. With power source disconnected, continuity should not exist.
5. If power transistor is found to be defective, it should be replaced.
