ADJUSTING SHIFT TIMING




If shifts are too early, or too late, the throttle position sensor may need adjustment. Figure 1 shows a screw adjustment to change shift timing. This is the procedure for vehicles equipped with carburetors. Figure 2 shows the method used for fuel injected vehicles.
