1988 STARION, 1989 GALANT DOOR REPLACEMENT

PURPOSE
This bulletin is issued to describe production changes which affect door replacement procedure.

DESCRIPTION
For assembly efficiency, Starion and Galant doors are now positioned on their hinges by studs. The studs are threaded into the door. One stud at each hinge helps locate the door while the remaining bolts are inserted.





Replacement doors have threaded holes instead of the studs. Therefore you will have to obtain two bolts MB421933 to insert in the holes indicated by "Factory Stud" in Figure 1. Tighten to 17-26 Nm (12-19 ft.lbs.).
