EGR TEMPERATURE SENSOR - INSPECTION - SERVICE MANUAL REVISION

PURPOSE

This Technical Service Bulletin revises service manual information for inspecting the EGR temperature sensor. Using the existing service manual inspection procedure will not circulate enough exhaust gas to properly test the EGR temperature sensor.

As a reference to this TSB, write the TSB revision number in the TSB revision box located. near the bottom of each affected service manual page.





SERVICE MANUALS AFFECTED

DESCRIPTION

When using the Multi-Use Tester (MUT) to inspect the EGR temperature sensor, it is important to disconnect and plug the green-striped EGR control solenoid valve vacuum hose. Also plug the EGR nipple.





As shown in the example, please revise each affected service manual page to include the new information.
