WINDOW FOGGING
PURPOSE
Some vehicles may experience interior window or windshield film build-up ("fogging"). This condition is caused by vinyl interior trim material releasing chemical agents that adhere to the glass.
Several aftermarket products are available for removing film build-up from glass. The following products have been tested by MMSA and found to be effective. Repeated applications may be necessary.
^ Oily Film Remover by The Wax Shop (part number WS34-020) comes in a 20 ounce spray bottle and can be ordered from Basics Etc. at 800-333-1135 (or fax a purchase order to 909-699-9248). The product can also be purchased at some Pep Boys retail auto parts stores. Follow the aftermarket manufacturer's application instructions.
