WIPER MOTOR

Wiper Operation Check

1. Connect battery to wiper motor as shown in Fig. 39. Ensure motor works at low speed.
2. Connect battery to wiper motor as shown in Fig. 40. Ensure motor works at high speed.
3. Operate wiper at low speed, disconnect lead from battery.
4. Connect battery as shown in Fig. 41. Ensure motor starts on low speed, then stops at automatic stop position.

WIPER & WASHER SWITCH

1. Remove instrument and column undercover.
2. Disconnect column switch connector and check continuity at terminals as shown in Fig. 42.

WIPER RELAY w/ETACS

Fig. 43 Wiper Relay Continuity Chart:

1. Remove wiper relay from engine compartment cowl.
2. Ensure continuity between terminals when battery voltage is applied between terminals 2 and 5, as shown in Fig. 43.
