Fuel Filter: Description and Operation

This vehicle is equipped with two fuel filters in order to provide adequate protection for the Feedback Carburetor system.
NOTE: Not all vehicles where delivered from the manufacturer with the fuel tank filter or fuel tank drain plugs.

In-line Fuel Filter:

The first filter in the system is mounted in the gas tank attached to the tank drain plug. This filter consists of a screen type construction and serves the purpose of preventing the majority of the larger contaminants from entering the fuel line.

In-line Fuel Filter:

The second filter in the system is located in the engine compartment and is the primary filter. This fuel filter is of the replaceable type for ease of servicing, and should be replaced at normal maintenance intervals.
