The fuel pump is a mechanical lever operated diaphragm type pump. It is located on the cylinder head between the runners for the intake manifold and is actuated by a camshaft driven pushrod. The pump supplies fuel to the carburetor at a constant pressure (2.76 - 3.63 psi) controlled by means of an integral pressure regulating check valve.
