Throttle Full Close Switch: Description and Operation

Idle Switch:

The Idle Position Switch, is a contact switch that senses accelerator operation. The switch is built into the Idle Speed Control (ISC) servo. When the throttle valve is in the idle position, the ISC lever pushes the switch on.


The Idle Position Switch serves to convert HIGH/LOW voltage data indicating whether the accelerator is either depressed or released and inputs the information to the ECU, thus enabling it to control the idle speed control servo.
