Neutral Safety Switch: Service and Repair

1. Place selector lever in Neutral position.
2. Place manual control lever in Neutral position, then remove control lever retainer and lever.
3. Disconnect electrical harness, then remove switch retaining bolts and switch assembly.
4. Reverse procedure to install, then adjust switch as follows:
a. Using a .079 inch (2.0 mm) diameter aligning pin, rotate switch until pin falls into hole in rotor, Fig. 7.
b. Torque switch mounting bolts to 3.6-5.1 ft. lbs.
