With glove compartment open, connect a voltmeter or multi-use tester between the ETACS terminal and ground as shown in Fig. 5. Ensure voltage output is present with ignition switch in ``OFF'' position and door switch ``ON'' when each sensor or switch is operated. If there is no output of a voltage pattern, or buzzer does not sound, Fig 6, check for malfunction of switch or damaged or disconnected wiring.
