Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor: Description and Operation

Accelerator Switch:

CONSTRUCTION
The Accelerator Switch is an ON-OFF contact switch.

PURPOSE
Tells the TCU when the accelerator pedal is in the released position. the TCU disengages the torque converter clutch during deceleration.
