Compression Check: Testing and Inspection

Ensure engine oil, starter motor and battery are in satisfactory condition. When checking compression, engine coolant should be at normal operating temperature, spark plugs should be removed and throttle valve should be wide open. Minimum compression pressure at engine cranking speed is 159 psi and difference between cylinders should not exceed 14 psi.
