Power Steering Pressure Switch: Description and Operation

PURPOSE AND OPERATION
The Power Steering load switch provides a signal to the ECM when there is steering load. The ECM uses this information for idle speed control. When pump output pressure exceeds a preset level, the switch closes, completing the circuit to ground.
