Rotor

1. Check rotor for continuity. Ensure there is continuity between slip rings.
2. If resistance is not 3-5 ohms, a short exists in rotor. If no continuity exists or if there is a short, replace rotor assembly.
3. Ensure there is no continuity between slip ring and core. If continuity exists, replace rotor assembly.
