The Mitsubishi F4A21, F4A22, F4A33 and W4A33 transaxles, Figs. 3 through 6, are four speed, fully automatic transaxles using a three element damper clutch torque converter. Two shift patterns are stored in the control unit of these transaxles. One is the power pattern and the other is the economy pattern. The driver can select and switch to the desired pattern by using the power/economy select switch on the center console.
