Suspension: Service and Repair
1. Remove service lid trim from interior of vehicle, then raise and support vehicle.2. Remove rear crossmember under cover panel, then remove center exhaust pipe.
3. Remove brake caliper and brake assembly.
4. Remove parking brake cable.
5. On models with drum brakes, remove brake hose connection.
6. Remove upper arm bracket, then shock absorber cap and mounting nuts.
7. On models with ABS, remove speed sensor electrical connection.
8. Remove trailing arm grommet and mounting bolt.
9. Support crossmember with suitable jack stand, then remove crossmember mounting nuts.
10. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Bleed brake system as outlined under Brakes.
b. Inspect rear wheel alignment as outlined under Steering and Suspension.
