1. Remove rocker shaft assembly together with securing bolts, observing the following:
a. Do not remove bolts at No. 1 and No. 5 brackets or rocker shaft brackets and rocker arms will spring out.
b. Loosen rocker shaft bolts in sequence, working from the outside toward the center.
2. Remove camshaft.
3. Remove valves, valve springs, and related components using a suitable valve spring compressor.




Z24i

1. Remove intake manifold with injection body and exhaust manifold.
2. Remove rocker shaft assembly together with securing bolts, noting the following:
a. Do not remove bolts at Nos. 1 and 5 brackets.
b. Evenly loosen bolts from outside in sequence.
3. Remove camshaft.
4. Using suitable tool, remove valves, valve springs and related parts.
