1. Remove air cleaner.
2. Remove blind caps attached to altitude compensation pipes and outer vent pipe of carburetor
3. Remove canister and install new high altitude canister.
4. Connect hoses for fuel tank vapor vent line and vacuum signal line.
5. Cut off canister purge hose at canister side, leaving about 2 inches, and insert 3-way connector with a vacuum hose, then connect vacuum hose to canister outer vent pipe and secure hoses with band.
6. Remove two clamps of high tension cable attached to front of engine and insert canister hose clamp to high tension cable bracket and reinsert high tension cable clamp into it
7. Install two clamps for high tension cable and outer vent hose.
8. Connect outer vent hose between outer vent pipe and carburetor and canister pipe, making sure identification mark on hose is at carburetor side, then install outer vent hose in clamps.
9. Secure outer vent hose to air duct with band and install altitude compensator with bracket.
10. Connect compensating primary slow, primary main, and secondary main system vacuum hoses to carburetor pipes Fig. 120.

11. Remove vacuum hose between air cleaner and thermal vacuum valve.
12. Connect vacuum hose assembly with connectors of altitude compensator, air cleaner, and thermal vacuum valve Fig. 121.
13. Install air cleaner.
14. Start engine and check air and vacuum lines for leaks.
15. If there are no leaks, warm up engine until it reaches operating temperature and check idle speed, adjusting as necessary.
