Fuel Delivery and Air Induction: Adjustments

Perform this adjustment with injection lever in the free position.
1. Disconnect diesel pump controller rod.

2. Loosen altitude compensator locknut and cap nut, Fig. 30. Turn cap nut until it just contacts injection lever, then temporarily tighten locknut.

3. Loosen cap nut according to vehicle operating altitude. Refer to Fig. 31 for specifications.
4. Tighten locknut and install diesel pump controller rod. Make sure that nut contacts injection pump lever. If not, loosen nut and readjust.
