Fuel Filter: Description and Operation

Fuel Filter:

PURPOSE
The fuel filter, is designed to filter out dirt particles from the fuel system. It is in the fuel delivery path prior to the injectors. It is not serviceable and must be replaced when dirty.

OPERATION
Fuel from the tank is pressurized and sent through the fuel line to the fuel filter, which is designed to filter out dirt particles to keep the fuel injection system as clean as possible.

CONSTRUCTION
It has a metal case to withstand high pressure and a dual filter element.
