Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve-Air Regulator Control:

PURPOSE
The Idle Air Control Valve-Air Regulator (IAC-Air Reg) is controlled by the Engine Control Module (ECM) at the same time as fuel pump ON-OFF control. It is part of the idle speed control system which helps maintain idle speed under different operating conditions.
