Engine - Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection

Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Ohm Test:

1. Disconnect Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECT) harness connector.

Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Resistance:

2. Check resistance as shown in the figure.

If NG, replace engine coolant temperature sensor.
