Vehicle Speed Sensor:

PURPOSE
The Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) provides a vehicle speed signal to the speedometer and the speedometer sends a signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM).

CONSTRUCTION
The speed sensor consists of a pulse generator, which is installed in the speedometer unit in the transaxle.
