Non-Trouble Code Procedures

METER/GAUGE RESISTANCE CHECK
- Check resistance between meter/gauge installation screws after removing meter/gauge.

FUEL LEVEL SENSOR UNIT CHECK
- Refer to "Removal".




KA24DE Models
Check the resistance between fuel level sensor unit terminals 1 and 4.




VG33E Models
Check the resistance between fuel level sensor unit terminals G and E.




THERMAL TRANSMITTER CHECK
Check the resistance between thermal transmitter terminal 1 and body ground.




VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL CHECK
1. Remove vehicle speed sensor from transmission.
2. Turn vehicle speed sensor pinion quickly and measure voltage across 1 and 2.
