Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

AIR CLEANER AND AIR DUCT





REMOVAL
1. Remove the engine room cover using power tool.
2. Disconnect the harness connector from air cleaner case (upper).
3. Remove the air duct and resonator assembly and air cleaner case.
4. Remove air cleaner filter and air cleaner case (lower)
^ Add marks as necessary for easier installation.

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Removal and Installation (Viscous paper type)





NOTE:
^ The viscous paper type filter does not need cleaning between replacement intervals.
^ Replace the air filter as necessary for periodic maintenance.

1. Remove the air duct and resonator assembly.
2. Remove the air cleaner case (upper).
3. Remove the air cleaner filter from the air cleaner case (lower).

INSTALLATION
1. Install the new air cleaner filter in the air cleaner case (lower).
2. Install the air cleaner case (upper).
3. Install the air duct and resonator assembly (inlet).
