Removal and Installation of BCMREMOVAL
NOTE: If possible, before removing BCM, retrieve current BCM configuration to use for reference when configuring brand-new BCM after installation. Refer to "Configuration". Programming and Relearning
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove lower instrument panel LH.
3. Remove knee protector. Refer to "INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY".
4. Remove screws and release BCM.
5. Disconnect connectors and then remove BCM.
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
- When replacing BCM, it must be configured. Refer to "Configuration". Programming and Relearning
- When replacing BCM, perform initialization of NATS system and registration of all NATS ignition key IDs. Refer to BL-102, "NVIS(NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System-NATS)". Control Module Programming and Relearning
- When replacing BCM, perform ID registration procedure of low tire pressure warning system. BL-65, "ID Code Entry Procedure" . Programming and Relearning
- When replacing BCM, register the remote keyless entry system keyfob ID codes.
- When replacing BCM, perform adjustment procedure for the steering angle sensor. BRC-127, "Adjustment of Steering Angle Sensor Neutral Position". Testing and Inspection
