Able to select AUTO or LOCK mode.





AWD LOCK SWITCH


Diagnosis Procedure

1.CHECK AWD LOCK SWITCH
Check AWD lock switch. Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 2.
NO - Replace AWD lock switch.
2.CHECK AWD LOCK SWITCH CIRCUIT (1)
Check the continuity between AWD lock switch harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 3.
NO - Repair or replace error-detected parts.
3.CHECK AWD LOCK SWITCH CIRCUIT (2)
1. Disconnect AWD control unit harness connector.
2. Check the continuity between AWD control unit harness connector and AWD lock switch harness connector.





3. Check the continuity between AWD control unit harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 4.
NO - Repair or replace error-detected parts.
4.CHECK AWD CONTROL UNIT OUTPUT SIGNAL
1. Connect AWD control unit harness connector.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.

CAUTION:
Never start the engine.
3. Check the voltage between AWD lock switch harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Check each harness connector pin terminal for disconnection.
NO - Replace AWD control unit. Exploded View.
