Diagnosis Procedure
OVERDRIVE CONTROL SWITCH
Description
- The Overdrive control switch is installed to the selector lever knob.
- When pushing the Overdrive control switch (OD OFF indicator lamp turns ON), the driving condition becomes Overdrive OFF. When pushing again the Overdrive control switch (OD OFF indicator lamp turns
OFF), the driving condition changes to D range.

Diagnosis Procedure
1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT
Perform "Self Diagnostic Results" in "TRANSMISSION".
Is "U1000" indicated?
YES - Check CAN communication line. TM.
NO - GO TO 2.
2.CHECK COMBINATION METER
Perform "Self Diagnostic Results" in "METER/M&A".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 3.
NO - Check DTC detected item. Testing and Inspection.
3.CHECK OVERDRIVE CONTROL SWITCH
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect CVT shift selector connector.
3. Check continuity overdrive control switch.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 4.
NO - Repair or replace damaged parts.
4.CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT (PART 1)
Check continuity between CVT shift selector vehicle side harness connector terminal and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 5.
NO - Repair or replace damaged parts.
5.CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN CVT SHIFT SELECTOR AND COMBINATION METER (PART 1)
1. Disconnect combination meter connector.
2. Check continuity between CVT shift selector vehicle side harness connector terminal and combination meter vehicle side harness connector terminal.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 6.
NO - Repair or replace damaged parts.
6.CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN CVT SHIFT SELECTOR AND COMBINATION METER (STEP 2)
Check continuity between CVT shift selector vehicle side harness connector terminal and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 7.
NO - Repair or replace damaged parts.
7.DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEMS
Check TCM connector pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Replace TCM. Exploded View.
NO - Repair or replace damaged parts.
