DRIVER SIDE DOOR MIRROR DEFOGGER

Component Function Check


1. CHECK DRIVER SIDE DOOR MIRROR DEFOGGER

Check that heating wire of driver side door mirror defogger is heated when turning the rear window defogger switch ON.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Driver side door mirror defogger is OK.
NO- Refer to "Diagnosis Procedure" .


Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK DOOR MIRROR DEFOGGER POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Disconnect door mirror (driver side) connector.
3.Turn ignition switch ON.
4.Check voltage between door mirror (driver side) harness connector and ground.

With around view monitor





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 2.
NO- GO TO 3.

2. CHECK DOOR MIRROR DEFOGGER GROUND CIRCUIT

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Check continuity between door mirror (driver side) harness connector and ground.
Without around view monitor





With around view monitor





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Replace glass mirror (driver side).
NO- Repair or replace harness.

3. CHECK DOOR MIRROR CIRCUIT

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Disconnect door mirror defogger relay connector and door mirror (driver side) connector.
3.Check continuity between door mirror (driver side) harness connector and door mirror defogger relay harness connector.
Without around view monitor





With around view monitor





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 4.
NO- Repair or replace harness.

4. CHECK INTERMITTENT

Refer to "Intermittent Incident" Intermittent Incident.
- INSPECTION END
