Multi-Function Thermal Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

Fig. 1 Instrument Panel Removal:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove screws securing right hand lower dash panel and cluster lid "B", Fig. 1, and remove panels.
3. Remove screws securing evaporator case to dash, remove clips securing evaporator case, and remove lower case section.
4. Disconnect thermo control sensor from evaporator core, remove retaining screws, and remove control.
5. Reverse procedure to install, making sure that control sensor is properly installed.
