Engine - Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect wiring harness connector to switch located on heater tube below # 6 spark plug.
2. Connect ohmmeter to switch leads.
3. With coolant temperature below 122 deg. F, meter should indicate infinite resistance; with engine at normal operating temperature, meter should read 0 ohms.
