Discharge Valve, Replace


Do not leave compressor on its side or upside down for more than 10 minutes.
1. Using suitable tool, remove two valve attaching bolts.
2. Remove discharge valve and discard O-ring.
3. Check for scratches on mounting surfaces of discharge valve and rear cover and at groove of rear cover O-ring, and replace affected areas as necessary.
4. Apply a coating of clean refrigerant oil to groove of discharge valve and O-ring, then install these parts in proper position.
5. Secure discharge valve to rear cover, torquing bolts to 12-13 ft. lbs.
6. Add clean refrigerant oil to compressor and perform leak test.
