1. Disconnect wiring harness connectors to switch assembly, and check continuity and resistance with ohmmeterFig. 60.
2. With switch in OFF position, meter should read 0 ohms between terminals 7 and 8 and no continuity between terminals 5 and 6.
3. With switch in ON position, meter should indicate continuity between terminals 5 and 6.
4. With switch in MAX-HI position, meter should read approximately 1.1K ohms between terminals 7 and 8.
5. With mode selector in A/C position, meter should indicate continuity between terminals 1 and 2 (micro switch on).
6. With mode control in any other position, meter should indicate no continuity between terminals 1 and 2 (micro switch off).
