Recirculation (Intake Door) Control

Recirculation of passenger compartment air is controlled by a recirculation timer and an intake door air valve. When the time switch is depressed, current flow through the air valve is stopped and the valve closes, blocking the vacuum signal to the intake door actuator and setting the door in the recirculate position. The time allows recirculation to take place for approximately 10 minutes. Recirculation can be stopped by depressing the time switch at any time during the recirculation cycle.
