Feedback Rheostat Circuit

Fig. 83 Feedback Rheostat Circuit Test Connections:

1. Remove adapter from "check" terminal and switch ignition to OFF position.
2. Connect ohmmeter to "check" terminal, Fig. 83.
3. Start engine, place mode control in AUTO position, and set temperature control in coldest position.
4. Meter should read approximately 75 ohms with air mix door closed.
5. If meter reading is not within specifications, check wiring harness rheostat.
6. If mix door fails to operate properly, check vacuum circuit, rheostat and related vacuum actuators.
