The air temperature sensor, incorporated into the air flow meter, Fig. 11, monitors change in the intake air temperature and transmits a signal to control fuel injection in response to the varying pulse duration. The temperature sensing unit employs a thermistor which is sensitive in the low temperature range.
The electrical resistance of the thermistor decreases in response to the rise in air temperature.
