Continuity Test

Fig. 76 Cylinder head, water & air temperture sensor characteristic curve.:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Measure air temperature near the air flow meter.
3. Connect ohmmeter between terminals 25 and 34 on air flow meter.
4. Resistance should be within range indicated in graph, Fig. 76. If readings are outside range, air temperature sensor is faulty.

NOTE: The air temperature sensor and air flow meter should be replaced as an assembly.
