Test Description
Refer to the troubleshooting chart Fig. 22 and circuit diagrams, Figs. 34 through 44 to determine which circuits or components are to be tested. With the ignition switch in the off position, disconnect battery, ground cable and lead wire at starter "S" terminal. On 280ZX, Maxima and 1982-83 200SX models, disconnect electrical connector at cold start valve. Remove components necessary to allow air door of air flow meter to be opened manually on all except 1984 200SX and Stanza models, disconnect harness connector at exhaust gas sensor, and connect a jumper wire between lead and ground. Disconnect the 35 pin main EFI connector at EFI control unit On 1984 200SX and Stanza, disconnect 15 pin and 20 pin connectors from control unit
NOTE: The following procedures use an ohmmeter to test continuity.
