Fuel Injector Cooling Fan: Description and Operation


An auxiliary cooling fan is used to cool fuel in the injectors and fuel lines after the ignition switch has been placed in the Off position, provided engine coolant temperature is above specified value. The auxiliary cooling fan will operate for approximately 17 minutes at engine coolant temperatures above 216'F. When engine coolant temperature is below specified temperature or when the ignition switch is placed in the On or Start positions, the auxiliary fan will not operate.
