Fig. 60 Testing fan switch:

1. Disconnect wiring harness connector to switch and check continuity and resistance, Fig. 60.
2. Place fan switch in OFF position and ensure that there is no continuity between pins 5 and 6 and pins 7 and 8.
3. Place fan switch in ON position and ensure that there is continuity between pins 5 and 6.
4. Place fan switch in Max. HI position and ensure that resistance across pins 7 and 8 and is approximately 1.1K ohms.
