The idle speed is compensated by the control unit adjusting to the engine operating conditions. Water temperature and engine r.p.m. are used for the determination of the idle speed.
The control unit senses the idle conditions, and determines the appropriate idle speed at each water temperature, and sends the electronic signal to the Idle speed Control Valve (I.C.V.) Fig. 68.
