Fig. 70 Idle Control Valve (I.C.V.):
CAUTION: Do not adjust screw A, Fig. 70, this screw is preset and sealed at the factory. Turning screw A might cause a rough idle.
If adjusting screw A is accidentally turned, reset as follows:
1. Warm up the engine.
2. Disconnect harness connector for I.C.V.
3. Make sure the idle r.p.m. is in the specified range.
4. Apply battery voltage to the terminals of the I.C.V.
5. Remove the rubber plug and turn adjusting screw A so that the idle speed increases by 90 to 120 r.p.m..
NOTE: At this time check that the engine idles smoothly.
6. Stop the engine. Install the rubber plug into hole for adjusting screw A and connect I.C.V. harness connector.
