When the idle speed changes because of an increase in electrical load the idle control valve (I.C.V.), Fig. 43., is activated to stabilize the idle r.p.m. within the lower and upper limits already stored in the control unit's memory. However, when the air conditioning is "ON", the idle speed is controlled by the fast idle control device.
