Exhaust Gas Sensor

CAUTION: Before disconnecting and connecting electrical connectors make sure that the ignition switch is in the "OFF" position.

1. Turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position.
2. Disconnect the battery ground connector.
3. Disconnect the 15 pin, 20 pin and 16 pin E.C.C.S. harness connectors from the control unit.
CAUTION:
a. Before disconnecting the ECCS harness connectors make sure the ignition switch is in the "OFF" position.
b. Be extremely careful not to bend the connectors when removing from the terminals. Do not touch the circuit tester probe to any unnecessary pin on the connectors, doing so could cause damage to the circuit tester.
c. After inspection or replacement,, connect ECCS harness connectors securely (a click should be heard).
