Releasing Fuel Pressure

Fig. 55 Fuel Pmup Relay Connector:

1. Start the engine.
2. Disconnect harness connector of the fuel pump relay while the engine is running Fig. 55.
3. After engine stalls, crank the engine two or three times.
4. Turn the ignition switch "OFF".
5. If performing a pressure test reconnect the harness of the fuel pump relay after gauges are installed.
