Mixture Ratio Feedback System


PREPARATION
1. Make sure that the following parts are in good working order.
a. Battery.
b. Ignition system.
c. Engine oil and coolant level.
d. Fuses.
e. E.C.C.S. wiring harness connectors.
f. vacuum hoses.
g. Air intake system (including oil filler cap and all PCV connections).
h. Valve clearance, engine compression.
2. On air conditioned models, checks should be performed with the air conditioner "OFF".
3. On automatic transmission equipped models, when checking idle r.p.m., ignition timing, and mixture ratio, checks should be performed while in "DRIVE".

WARNING:
a. When selector lever is shifted to "DRIVE" position, apply parking brake and block both front and rear wheels.
b. Depress brake pedal while accelerating the engine to prevent forward surge of the car.
c. After the adjustment has been made, shift the lever to the "PARK" position and remove wheel blocks.
