Testing - Non-Calif.

1. Visually inspect fuel shut-off system and replace any broken or damaged switches.
2. Run engine until it reaches operating temperature and ensure that choke valve is fully open.
3. Connect circuit tester to function check connector and turn ignition switch to "ON".
4. Check for voltage across "Y" for Pulsar or "G/B" for Sentra, and "B". There should be voltage if clutch is disengaged and/or shift lever is in neutral.
5. On Sentra, connect vacuum hose and connector.
6. Start engine and let run until it reaches operating temperature.
7. Disconnect anti-dieseling solenoid valve connector or vacuum switch connector. If engine continues to idle, replace anti-dieseling solenoid valve assembly.
8. Install voltmeter.
9. Place shift lever at "N" and run engine at no load, then increase engine speed.
10. If voltmeter indicates voltage above 1650 RPM, replace engine revolution switch.
